Hillside Community Church is hiring for a part-time custodian position at 20-25 hours per week. This individual will work alongside a team of custodians to assist in cleaning and maintaining the facility. The individual’s weekly tasks will include vacuuming, cleaning windows, emptying trash and recycle cans and transporting the waste to the dumpsters, and disinfecting classrooms and common areas. Additional responsibilities may include setting up and tearing down for special events such as weddings and funerals. The individual will communicate directly and often with the Facilities Manager to ensure that areas are prepared for ministry events and Sunday worship services.

This individual will be required to work Saturdays and alternating Sunday mornings while maintaining a regular schedule during the week. Sunday shifts require the individual to open the building prior to the first service, remain on site and maintain the cleanliness throughout the morning, and close up the building following the second service. We offer a flexible work schedule during the week (Monday – Friday) as well as a positive team environment.

Previous custodial/janitorial experience is preferred but not required. The individual must be able to lift up to 50lbs and have reliable transportation. Starting pay is $14 per hour with annual reviews and the interested person must pass a background check.
