I Am | Sermon Series

Lent | February 18 – April 1

In this Lenten series we explore the “I Am” statements of Jesus. We all hunger for something—a new car, security, more money, peace in our world and in our hearts—we all have things we want or need. We’ll listen as Jesus invites us to recognize that He is the One we really need.

I Am the Resurrecton and the Life

April 1

We all face different challenges and enemies in our lives. But there is one final enemy all of us must face—death (and death is even more certain than taxes!). Is death the end? Do we just go out of existence? Disappear into nothingness? Join us this Easter as we celebrate that Jesus has defeated death and gives us a hope that changes every-thing. He is the resurrection and the life!

I Am the Vine

March 25

One of the desires each of us has deep inside is to make a difference, to have an impact on the world around us.  We want our lives to mater.  This Sunday we’ll listen as Jesus tells us how we can make a difference with our lives—by staying connected to the vine.

I Am The Way, The Truth And The Life

March 18

It’s one thing to have a place to go—it’s another to have a way to get there.  You may have a condo in Florida for Spring Break but if you can’t get there it doesn’t do you any good.  This Sunday Jesus tells us that He is the way to our heart’s true home.

I Am The Good Shepherd

March 11

Even though we may think we don’t need anyone to lead us and protect us, even though we may feel like we can stand on our own two feet, the Bible makes it clear that we all need a shepherd—we all need someone who will take care of us.  This Sunday we’ll look at Jesus and His claim to be the Good Shepherd.

I Am the Gate

March 04

People believe all roads lead to heaven. All faiths are equal. But is Jesus then unique? Is he the only way? How exclusive is Jesus’ statement? Let’s explore this statement this Sunday.

I Am the Light of the World

February 25

Whether we admit it or not, we’re all at least a little bit afraid of the dark. You can’t see in the dark and you don’t know what’s out there. We get lost in the dark and we feel really vulnerable. This morning we’ll take a look at a wonderful claim of Jesus – He’ll tell us that He is the Light of the World.

John 8: 12-20

We all hunger for something—a new car, security, more money, peace in our world and in our hearts—we all have things we want or need.  This Sunday we’ll listen as Jesus invites us to recognize that He is the One we really need— He is the bread of life.
