The Budget Counseling Ministry at Hillside Community Church is designed to provide confidential, Bible-based financial counseling to individuals and couples who are facing financial hardship and who desire guidance in honoring the Lord with their finances. This is accomplished in two main areas:
1. Helping to develop a budget and debt repayment plan.
2. Encouraging individuals to mature spiritually and discover the joy of incorporating God-honoring financial management principles into their lives.

The Christian Education Tuition Assistance Fund Committee's function is to financially assist parents who have chosen a Christian education for their child. The committee holds several fundraisers throughout the year to aid them in this goal. Plan to attend our annual fall auction! The Church Assistance Program (CAP) is there to help you with life's problems such as marital or family conflict, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and other emotional problems, legal and financial difficulties, and work-related problems. Hillside Community Church has contracted with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services to provide professional counseling to any church member who needs help. It is a confidential service. Hillside Community Church has a compassion ministry that offers financial and spiritual counseling and support for attenders experiencing a period of financial crisis. You may contact someone via the church office at (616) 698-0122.
We have a trained liaison to help Hillside attenders who are facing "end of life" issues with a loved one. The liaison can help you work through the details of finding in-home hospice care and can help guide you through the physical, emotional, and financial stresses of these issues. The Prayer Team provides an opportunity for Hillside attenders to meet with someone for prayer, encouragement, comfort, and guidance. We help those in need find Christ and discover a deeper relationship with Him. If you need prayer or if you would like to pray with others, contact Jane Oudbier.
This ministry provides love and care for our attenders by preparing and delivering a meal when they have a new baby, an illness, or a family crisis. If you would like to make a meal, or know someone who would benefit from this ministry, contact the church office at (616) 698-0122 x141.
