At Hillside, we are committed to caring for kids and partnering with families to raise kids for Christ.
Along with youth ministries, our children’s programs strive to equip, encourage, and empower students for a life-long purpose and passion for Jesus Christ.
Our Precious Pebbles children (infant-2 years) will be Enfolded into a loving Community. Our Stepping Stones children (Age Three-Kindergarten) will be Exploring God’s Word, and our Kids ROCK students (1st-5th grade) will Experiencing God’s Truths.

(Three Year Olds, Preschool, Kindergarten)
Our Stepping Stones programs provide a loving and safe environment where young children can learn more about Jesus. The Three Year Old and Preschool classes use the First Look Curriculum which helps preschool children discover God and His great love for them! There is class time with various activities as well as a large group time of worship where we sing songs of praise and learn amazing Bible stories together. Stepping Stones Kindergarten uses the 252 Basics curriculum which is organized around key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them.
Each month we look at a different Life App (practical applications of God’s truth). Kindergarten students participate in different types of activities which bring the weekly Bible story to life and help them to grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship.
Stepping Stones is offered at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and runs from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before Memorial Day.
(1st Grade-5th Grade) This is not the Sunday School you remember! Kids Rock is set up with a Large Group/Small Group format.
Small Group: In small group, students will have a leader and be in a group of around 8-10 students in the same grade. This is a place where they can build relationships with peers and a loving adult. They will pray together, do activities together, and hopefully laugh a lot!
Large Group: In large group, students will hear Bible truths taught to them in creative and fun ways. It’s a place to learn about and worship our AMAZING GOD together! We will raise the roof with singing, engage in Bible stories, and pray to our Lord all together.
Curriculum: Kids Rock uses the 252 Basics curriculum. 252 Basics is organized around key Bible stories that helps kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. Each month will be focused on a different Life App (practical applications of God’s truth). Through creative ways we will all learn about God’s story together and how we are a part of it too.
Kids Rock is offered at 11:00 a.m. from September-May.
