Changing Our Community

The church is called not only to care for those within the church but we are called to care for the poor and the hurting wherever they may be found.  We at Hillside take this call very seriously, we believe it is the mission of the church to care for the needy in any way we are able.  In order to fulfill this misson Hillside is involved with many different ministries that are strive to care for the members in our community that need help

Where Can You Serve?

Samaritan Meals

  • There are times in everyone's life in which they feel overwhelmed and they can use a little help. Samaritan meals is a program that is intended to help take some of the pressure off during these times.
  • We try to provide meals to people during or after an illness or surgery, loss of a family member, the birth of a new baby or any other time someone just needs a little help.
  • If you enjoy making meals and caring for those in need please contact Deb for more information.

KIDS HOPE

  • Kids Hope USA is a ministry that strives to build caring relationships with children "one child, one hour, one church, one school" at a time.  We at Hillside embrace this vision and work closely with Kids Hope USA to offer Christian mentoring and support to children in our immediate area who need to experience the changing love of Christ Jesus.

Alpha

  • Alpha is a practical introduction to the Christian faith which tackles life’s most important questions. The course is appropriate for Christians and for those who are seeking to learn more about Christ.  It’s a great place for Hillside members to invite their friends and neighbors who don’t know Christ.  Alpha is a ten-week course that is offered twice a year at Hillside.  An Alpha evening includes dinner, a lesson, and a time of small group discussion.

Townline Bible Club

  • The Townline Bible Club is held each Tuesday afternoon during the school year from 3:30—4:30.  This ministry is focused on children who would otherwise have no other way to learn about the love of God.
