Are you interested in membership or just learning more about Hillside?
Our next Exploring Hillside class will take place on September 27 from 7-9 in room 16. You will meet our pastors, people from Hillside and others who are also interested in asking the same questions as you. This is the first step in the membership process but in no way obligates you to join. Please contact the church office to let them know if you will be able to join us. Looking forward to seeing you there!
The Cadet program at Hillside will kick-off on Wednesday September 27. If you have a son, grandson, nephew, or neighbor who'll be in 3rd to 8th grade this year, please invite them to join us. We meet the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6:30pm and run until 8pm. We're looking forward to a year full of projects, camping, model rockets, pinewood derby cars, and more. If you have any questions, please contact Matthew Roberts (334-8582 or email@example.com). Dads and dad-type figures are also welcome to stay and join the fun.
Do you like to knit, crochet?
There is a group of women who meet monthly to knit and share stories. We knit shawls and afghans for those in need of encouragement. Please join us Monday, Sept. 18. We meet in the library at 7:00. We have patterns to share, and knitting “experts” to help with new projects and tips. Contact Chris Hoekwater or Shar Karsten with questions.
Kids Hope Substitute Mentors needed
Your presence when the regular mentor is absent affirms to the child that we are committed to them. It could be as little as serving one hour a month. Please contact Maxine at 307-9515 or let the church office know if you are willing to help in this way.
Kids Hope mentor needed: A hard working, polite 4th grade girl needs help with reading and writing. If you would like to help her out by meeting with her one hour a week or if you have any questions regarding mentoring please call Maxine at 307-9515.
